When I saw him at the club he was all the time joking with me, saying he had a surprise, but Novak is always making jokes, so I had no clue what it would be, or even if he was serious.
マイアミのジュニアドローを見てたら、2回戦で錦織 vs Guido Palla(去年デ杯決勝のヒッティングパートナーだったかっこいい男の子)になるかも。
Q. Really not much time to celebrate because tomorrow very a big match. Are you ready? GUILLERMO CAÑAS: Yeah, I am ready, yes. I'm ready. I'm ready to enjoy it again, to be in the center court against the No. 1 in the world. Yes, I'm ready.
J del Potro (ARG) d (16)M Youzhny (RUS) 76(2) 64
Sunday, March 25, 2007 Singles - Second Round 順当な結果: (24)R Stepanek (CZE) d G Gaudio (ARG) 63 62 (4)N Davydenko (RUS) d S Greul (GER) 64 60 (6)T Robredo (ESP) d (Q)K Kim (USA) 62 64 (29)N Almagro (ESP) d P Starace (ITA) 76(2) 63
プチ波乱: F Santoro (FRA) d (27)C Moya (ESP) 76(5) 62 F Mayer (GER) d (28)F Verdasco (ESP) 76(5) 61 (Q)A Delic (USA) d (31)J Acasuso (ARG)60 63 下位シードだから、しょうがないか。。
Singles - Third Round 上位シードはほぼ順当勝ち: (Q)F Lopez (ESP) d F Serra (FRA) 76(4) 63 (2)R Nadal (ESP) d (30)O Rochus (BEL) W/O (foot) (3)A Roddick (USA) d (32)G Simon (FRA) 64 64 (10)N Djokovic (SRB) d M Llodra (FRA) 64 61 (12)A Murray (GBR) d (LL)R Kendrick (USA) 63 61 (13)D Ferrer (ESP) d (Q)S Bolelli (ITA) 76(0) 62
(LL)A Falla** (COL) d S Roitman (ARG) 46 63 61 **Kohlschreiber棄権のため (LL)E Korolev (RUS) d M Gicquel (FRA) 64 62 [Q]K Kim (U SA) d B Becker (GER) 64 36 62 [Q]A Delic (USA) d J Benneteau (FRA) 64 64 [Q]G Canas (ARG) d T Henman (GBR) 36 62 61 [WC]S Querrey (USA) d I Andreev (RUS) 57 62 64(予選からじゃないけどWC) Day1にジネプリとかも負けてましたよね。
Singles - Second Round [13]D Ferrer (ESP) d J Monaco (ARG) 62 62
[Q]F Lopez (ESP) d [25]M Safin (RUS) 75 76(2)
F Serra (FRA) d [8]J Blake (USA) 76(8) 26 63
P Mathieu (FRA) d [26]J Melzer (AUT) 60 75 。。)
M Llodra (FRA) d [22]D Hrbaty (SVK) 63 62 [Q]S Bolelli (ITA) d [21]D Tursunov (RUS) 67(0) 63 64

(But, you know, tennis is like this. You never win all the matches. And I didn't play my best tennis in the last round, and I am lucky to be a lucky loser, and it's great to take the chance when you have.)
Q. Are you as happy now as you were as a kid? Once you mentioned that, '86 and the one Argentina World Cup, are you as happy now as you were then? GUILLERMO CANAS: No. I think in '86, I was more happy. Yes, I know. But, yeah, I'm really -- the real thing is maybe in one hour I start to feel more happy. Now I'm really -- I'm trying to thinking what I did. But really I feel great. But, you know, tennis is like that. Sometimes today is the day to enjoy it, but tomorrow I have another match and I gonna keep winning. For this, it's tough to enjoy what I do today. But tonight, I gonna celebrate with my coach, with my physical coach, and with my friends, and, really, I'm very happy. But in '86 I was more.

Federer felled: Canas produces shock upset Federer, who has previously expressed some general dissatisfaction with reductions in doping bans, might have wondered if his collection of streaks was brought to an end by a player who should not even be playing. “They always fight for it anyway, everybody that was tested positive. That’s, for me, just not understandable. Everybody who gets caught always says, ‘I didn’t do anything,” said Federer. “For him, what happened, you know, he must feel a bit awkward but he’s dealing well with it.” Tipsarevic said the upset might create some whispers about Canas in the locker room, but that the anti-doping process should be left to run its course. Like Federer, Tipsarevic prefaced his comments by saying he wasn’t familiar with the ins and outs of the anti-doping process and the nature of various substances being tested for. "I'm a, a friend of Canas and he's a really nice guy. The thing is that he took doping. That's his own thing, and, of course, now a lot of people are going to question this, is he really still doped? Did he take something to clean himself after the match?” said Tipsarevic. “The bottom line is, he played a great match, he beat a world No. 1. Let’s just leave [it to the] people who need to do the testing and the controlling to think about that and not put in question the win over Roger.” Reasons why Federer lost 1. Too many errors. Federer had 39 errors against a guy who played defensively, returning several shots. 2. Canas didn't give Federer anything. Canas only had eight unforced errors. 3. Canas is fearless. While waiting to get on center court, Serbian player Janko Tipsarevic said when Canas was ahead 4-2 in the second set, he saw no fear in his eyes, which made him know the Argentinian was going to score the upset.
